Online in Alberta

Online Beyond Red Deer Resort & Casino

Online play is a separate matter from the floor of Red Deer Resort & Casino at 3310 50 Avenue. Below, the survey desk sets out how Alberta has arranged it, in plain terms.

The market

Two bodies, one market

Alberta opened a regulated online gaming market on July 13, 2026. AGLC regulates the market. The Alberta iGaming Corporation, known as AiGC, manages it. An operator that wants in has two steps: register with AGLC, then sign an agreement with AiGC. For the opening, 22 registered sites were approved.

Registered operators must allow play only by people who are physically in Alberta. That rule covers every registered operator in the market. Readers in Red Deer are inside that boundary for as long as they stay in Alberta. Across the provincial line, a registered site must not allow play.

Checking

Finding a site in the directory

Every registered online site appears in the AiGC directory at abigaming.ca. Approved operators also show the AiGC logo. A site missing from that directory is not regulated in Alberta, whatever it says about itself. PlayAlberta.ca belongs to the province: AGLC operates it, and the Government of Alberta keeps what it earns.

Self-exclusion in Alberta is arranged online only, at selfexclusion.ca. The person chooses the province's casinos and racing entertainment centres, the regulated online sites, or both. The term options are half a year and one, two or three full years. It begins straight away, and there is no early release.

The Ad links and the commission

Red Deer Floor Survey is an independent guide, not a casino, and it takes no bets. Paid links sit on the home page only, each marked Ad. The guide earns a commission from them, and the partner behind them can change.

They lead to a private online casino. It is not PlayAlberta.ca and has no tie to AGLC or AiGC. It has nothing to do with the resort or with the second room in town, ACE Casino Red Deer. The guide does not state that the partner is registered in Alberta; any operator can be looked up in the AiGC directory.

Questions

Short answers

It opened on July 13, 2026. AGLC regulates it, AiGC manages it, and 22 registered sites were approved for the opening.

Where can an online operator be looked up?

Registered sites are listed in the AiGC directory at abigaming.ca. Approved operators show the AiGC logo, and a site missing from the directory is not regulated in Alberta.

Does the province run PlayAlberta.ca?

Yes, AGLC operates PlayAlberta.ca for the province, and what the site earns goes to the Government of Alberta.

Is the partner behind the Ad links registered in Alberta?

The guide does not say that it is. The partner is a private online casino with no tie to AGLC or AiGC. Any operator can be looked up in the AiGC directory.
