Two things come before any game on the floor of Red Deer Resort & Casino: the age rule and the Winner's Edge card. Help with gambling in Alberta is a phone call away at any hour, free and confidential.

Winner's Edge
The Winner's Edge card
Winner's Edge is the player card at the resort, a program it runs with AGLC. Cards are handed out at Guest Services. The holder must be 18 or older and show government ID. What the card earns on the resort floor is not published, so we leave it there.
At ACE, the second room in town, players earn Winner's Edge points on the electronic table games. Those cover EZ-Baccarat, roulette, blackjack and Three Card Poker. They run either live-dealt or fully automated, at lower betting limits than the live tables at ACE.
18+
The 18+ rule
Nobody under 18 may go onto the casino floor at the resort, and minors are not served in the Casino Restaurant. Across Alberta, gambling is closed to anyone under 18. Staff ask for valid government photo ID from anyone who looks younger than 25. The list of ID accepted at the floor entrance is not published. Questions about it go to the casino line, 403-342-5825.
One choice before walking in
Before walking onto any casino floor, a visitor can pick the one game they came for and a time to leave. Writing that time down, or setting it on a phone, makes it harder to drift past. The hours on this site help set it. The pit closes at 1 a.m. or 2 a.m., depending on the night, and a leaving time can sit well before that.
